Liceum Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych w Sulejówku (the complex of Upper Secondary Schools in Sulejówek) bearing the honourable name of Ignacy Jan Paderewski is the only public secondary school between Warsaw and Mińsk Mazowiecki. The beginnings of Liceum go back to year 1944. It was then that the secret teaching on the secondary-school level organized during the Second World War began. In 1990 our school became a town council school. In the new socio-political reality we were the first secondary school in Poland to be taken over by the council.
The school has been situated in the present building since 5 March 1961. It has the area of 3100m2. There are 19 classrooms, among others there are: a computer classroom, a Biology, Physics and Chemistry classrooms, and the gym. There is also a gym hall (160m2) situated on the upper floor of the building. Outside the school there is a beautiful playground, consisting of a football pitch, a basketball and volleyball ground. There are also two tennis courts and a sports track.
Our main educational teaching aids consist of a book collection (10230 books), educational magazines, audio and video equipment, maps and boards. The Physics and Chemistry classrooms are also very well-equipped.
